Snowy by *doorstopPhotos This deviant's gallery is full of beautiful images but this one caught my eye. The feeling of child's tale, something perhaps from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, wonderful, seamless colors and this little child are these things that make this artwork outstanding. this has probably been said before, but it reminds me of the swedish movie "let the right one in"

It's SO beautiful and SO lovely!

But maybe, if I dare to criticize a little bit, just maybe, it is slightly inaccurate - the story, told by your picture. Perhaps it is in the behavior of the couple, walking towards the child.
As I see it, the child has been sitting on that bench for quite a long time: there are no footprints leading to it. More than that, one can notice other footprints, covered by the falling snow in the foreground of the picture. Still, there are no child's steps among them. So, the little one has been sitting there not simply long, but REALLY long time!
Then the couple approaching should be his parents. Otherwise why should the child hop from the bench and run through the snow?
The whole story looks like this child had returned from school, but here was no one at home, so he was sitting on that bench, not far from home probably and waiting for his parents to return. And the parents are late!
If I were in their shoos, coming home late to find out that my little child (lost his key?) is waiting for me alone in the street!.. at night!... in the winter!!! Gosh! Wold I stroll so calmly down the avenue? Never! And would you?

But the picture so so peaceful and calm! I think, I'm wrong about the whole story after all.

And yje most important thing about the picture: I like it very much! Thank you for this winter tale, you brought to me today!

The atmosphere makes us really feel like we're watching a scene in a winter's night. Great job!
